Add your site

Tarka's index is young, and plenty of good sites aren't in it yet. If yours is one of them, tell us where it is and our crawler will read it.

What happens next

• TarkaBot reads your robots.txt first, and follows it.
• It then reads the pages your sitemap lists, and the pages those link to on your site: up to 500 pages, one at a time, at least a second apart.
• Your pages usually show up in search within a few hours.

Things to know

• Adding a site asks us to read it. It does not promise a place in the results: pages are ranked on what they say, like any others.
• You don't have to own the site to suggest it, and we don't record who suggested it.
• Pages that need a login, or that only appear after JavaScript runs, can't be read.
